Free Internet Roulette
Despite the fairly complicated grid on the table and the large number of squares on a Roulette wheel, Internet Roulette is easy to understand and easy to play. It is the most popular table game in casinos worldwide. In American casinos the betting grid layout is next to the Roulette wheel. The wheel is divided into 38 different slots where the ball can land. The slots are numbered from 1 to 36 plus one marked 0 and another marked 00.
There are a number of possible bets, each with their own payout schedule. You can bet one single number, which is called a “straight up” bet or you can bet on a combination of numbers. You can bet on black or red, or you can bet on odd or even. Six people can play at the Roulette table and each has chips of different colors to keep track the numbers on the layout each person is betting on.
At Roulette tables players may choose their own roulette chips. Players can also use regular casino chips in order to bet larger amounts like $5, $25, or $100.
The dealer rolls the Roulette ball along the inside edge of the Roulette wheel in the opposite direction the wheel is spinning. The ball will stop in a numbered slot on the Roulette wheel. The number of the slot is the winner for that game. Roulette is a fast paced game with upward of one spin per minute in many places.
Here are the types of bets you can make at a Roulette table and their payouts.
Straight Up: This is a bet on one number. You can choose any number from 1 to 36, 0, or 00. This bet pays out 35:1.
Column: This is a twelve number bet that pays off on any number in the vertical column you choose. This bet pays out 2:1 when you win.
Dozen: This is a twelve number bet. It pays off on any number in the dozen you choose. The payout is 2:1.
Even Money: This is an 18 number bet. It pays off on bets of 1-18 versus 19-36, Red versus Black, or Even versus Odd. Even money bets pay out 1:1.
Split: This is a two number bet. You win if one of your two numbers hits, and the payout is 17:1.
Trio: This three number bet pays when any of your three numbers hits. Payout is 11:1.
Corner: This is a four number bet that pays when any of your four numbers hits 8:1.
Five Bet: This is a five number bet that pays 6:1 when any of your five numbers hits.
Six Bet: You win if any of your six numbers hits. The payout is 5:1.
While rules may vary in many places, in casinos in Nevada any Roulette wager is lost if the ball lands on 0 or 00. In Europe the Roulette wheel has only one 0 and the casino collects all the bets if the 0 comes up. Needless to say that the European Roulette is a much better choice, if you can select the type of Internet Roulette you want to play.
