Stunt Dirt Bike, created by YouGame was named to one of the ten most popular flash games of 2008 by the Mochi Network. This is a two dimensional side scrolling gaming game. The goal is simple. Ride your favorite vehicle – a dirt bike or a four-wheeler – and surpass all the obstacles as quickly as possible to move to the next level.

Your controls are the customary keyboard buttons. UP or DOWN will make the bike move forward or backward. The LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys lean the biker’s body forward or back. If you want to pause the game, press the “p” key. If you want to start the level all over again, press the “r” key. You have to complete level 9 and level 12 to get a faster bike and an all terrain vehicle.

Your choice of vehicle can decide whether you proceed to the next level. If you have trouble with the bike, start the level over and try with the all terrain vehicle.

Here are the basic properties of the gaming game bike:
It is fast.
It is bouncy.
It is easy to control.
It has low passability.
It is not stable.

Here are the basic properties of the all terrain vehicle:
It has good stability.
It has good passability.
It is not bouncy.
It is slow.
It is hard to control.

For example, on the first level there are some large tree stumps that you have to surpass. Climbing them is slow but possible with the all terrain vehicle, whereas with the bike, even if you move the rider’s body just right to keep him from falling over forward or backward, you’ll still crash. It is difficult to come down a high rock or stump without tumbling head first. What you gain in speed, agility and bounce with the dirt bike you counteract with instability and difficulty of control. Likewise, the all terrain vehicle is rather slow and lumbering, but it can get the job done when speed is not an issue.

Keep in mind some of the basic mechanics of riding an ATV versus a bike. With an ATV the vehicle wants to lean out of curve the way your car does. This is when the ATV is most likely to tip over. Therefore you have to lean forward and into the turn. When it comes to going up and over obstacles you need to lean uphill the whole time to keep the vehicle stable. In real life, if you lose momentum, you can pull the parking brake and dismount. You can’t do that in the gaming game.

With a dirt bike, on the other hand, you approach a jump by standing crouched on the bike gripping it with your legs. Like with an ATV you need momentum on the dirt bike. If momentum is mass times velocity you have less mass, more velocity with the bike, and just the opposite with the ATV.

With a dirt bike, when you are in the air, check where you will be landing. If you’re landing on a flat surface you want to put the back wheel down first. Therefore you should pull up on the handlebars right before you land. If you’re landing on a down ramp you try to land the bike at the same angle as the ramp.

Most of all, have fun with the over 1000 gaming games. You can get away with lots of trials and errors on a video gaming game than on a real ATV or dirt bike!
